Maintenance requirements
Also refer to Abodo Decking Maintenance Guidelines.
Wash down regularly (at least every 6 months) with mild detergent, warm water and soft brush.
All wood will go grey after extended exposure to the weather. To maintain colour use a brown
pigmented oil and re-apply on a regular basis.
Minor surface cracking or ‘checking’ may occur after exposure to the weather.
If decking is stained or oil finished, clean and re-apply coating as required every summer.
Mould growth will occur on timber, especially in high humidity conditions. For heavily soiled or
mouldy areas use Rejuvenator or similar oxygenating cleaner then apply Preventor or similar
mould inhibitor. Alternatively use a 1 /4 cup of bleach and 1/4 cup detergent in bucket of water,
brush on and leave for 5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with fresh water.
