Polycrete® (polymer concrete) pits have excellent insulation properties, high mechanical strength, chemical resistance and zero water absorption, which makes them ideal as electrical and communications enclosures. Lighter and therefore less cumbersome than traditional concrete pits.
Pit bodies are 100% non-metallic, insulated construction with a very low electrical resistivity rating. Pit walls can easily be cut for cable penetration, and optional risers are available to increase pit depth if required. A full range of anti-slip lids rated to load class B (AS 3996) is available, and ACO’s entire access range can be utilised for loads up to load class G (AS 3996).
