Product Description
Triton Hygiene 25™ is a made in NZ, ‘soft’ fibre ceiling panel with anti-microbial finish, designed to provide high sound absorption in hygiene sensitive areas.
Smooth, white anti-microbial facing is easy to wipe clean.
Panel face is treated with an anti-microbial coating for high kill rate against common bacteria. Tested to Japanese Standard JIS Z2801:2000, achieves 99.95% minimum over 24 hours for:
- Staphylococcus aureus,
- Eschericia coli (Ecoli),
- Pseudomonas aeruginosa,
- Acinetobacter baumannii,
- Serrratia marcescens.
Scope of use
Triton Hygiene 25™ is ideal for cafes, restaurants, school food techrooms, medical/dental centres and pharmaceutical areas for the control of background noise levels and reverberation times.
This product is designed to be mounted into a two-way exposed grid system.
• For interior use only, and not in direct contact with water.
• Not for use with negative air return plenums.
• Maximum humidity/temperature 99% R/H at 45°C.
• Back loading max. 1.5kg/m², point loads to be independently supported.
New Zealand Building Code (NZBC)
The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:
- Clause B2 Durability: Performance B2.3.1(c)
Clause B2.3.1 (c) (i): 5 years if
building elements are easy to access and replace.
Asona
ceiling tiles with only normal maintenance will have a minimum durability of at
least 5 years when installed in accordance with; manufacturer’s installation
requirements and AS/NZS 2785:2020.

Asona Triton Hygiene 25 has a Fire Material Group
Number 2-S by NZBC verification method C/VM2 Appendix A, tested in accordance
with ISO 5660 or ISO 9705.

G3.3.2 Spaces for food
preparation and utensil washing shall have:
(a) Interior linings and work surfaces shall be
impervious and easily cleaned.
Asona Triton Hygiene 25 has a smooth impervious surface and easily cleaned. Additionally it has been tested to Japanese Standard JIS Z2801:2000, achieves 99.95% minimum over 24 hours for:

Available with optional foil backing to resist water damage from condensation in plenum.
This product is designed to be mounted into a two-way exposed grid system.
Renew & Reuse Stewardship Program: Soiled or damaged panels can be resurfaced with new Sonatex™ Hygiene laminate for reuse in the ceiling. Helps extend life cycle and reduce construction waste. Register on practical completion.
Installation requirements
Shall not commence until the building is watertight and dry. This product is designed to be mounted into a two-way exposed grid system and installed to manufacturer’s, AS/NZS 2785:2020 Standard’s and
AWCINZ Code of Practice requirements. Seismic design may require a suitably qualified engineer. Hold down clips may be required in areas of wind uplift, and/or air grilles used to balance air pressure. Care shall be taken when handling tiles to avoid damage.
Maintenance requirements
May be cleaned with a damp soapy cloth, clean away residual soap and dry after cleaning. Not suitable for high pressure water blast cleaning techniques.
Warrantees
15 year limited warranty against manufacturing defects, extendable to 30 years when registered for Asona’s Renew and Reuse program.
Environmental
From 80% recycled local content, product and packaging can be recycled in NZ. Refer Asona product stewardship program. VOC <0.002 Mg/M²/hr per ASTM D5116.

Packaging Take Back Scheme: (NZ only) Flat pack cartons on site and return to Asona for reuse.
