Polyfon 40™ is a made in NZ, high sound absorbing polyester ceiling panel designed to control unwanted noise in interior spaces. Polyfon is available in 18, 40 and 50mm thickness options providing NRCs of 0.90 and 0.95. They are available in a range of decorative acoustic laminate finishes from plain white, greys, black, colours and prints.
Polyfon 40™ is an ideal sound absorber panel, glue or fastener fixed to solid linings or in a suspended grid or frame, for call centres, open plan offices, cafes, halls, classrooms, libraries etc. Manufactured from polyester fibre board laminated with fire resistant glass mat acoustic facing.
Polyfon 40™ has a Fire Group 1-S EFR rating in accordance with NZBC Verification Method C/VM2, Appendix A, BRANZ Report FI 13092-002.
Warranty:15 year limited warranty against manufacturing defect, extendable to 30 years when registered for Asona’s Renew and Reuse program.

This product is designed to be mounted directly, suspended or laid into a two-way exposed grid system and installed to manufacturer’s and AS/NZS 2785:2020 Standard’s requirements. Panels are not to support any weight and equipment shall be independently supported.

• Not for use with negative air return plenums.
• Maximum humidity/temperature 99% R/H at 45°C.
• Back loading — No overlay loads, M&E services and point loads to be independently supported.
B2 Durability – Clause B2.3.1 (c) (i): 5 years if building elements are easy to access and replace. Asona ceiling tiles with only normal maintenance will have a minimum durability of at least 5 years when installed in accordance with; manufacturer’s installation requirements and AS/NZS 2785:2020.

C3 Fire – Clause C/AS2 3.4(a): Asona Polyfon 40 has a Fire Material Group Number 1-S by NZBC verification method C/VM2 Appendix A, tested in accordance with ISO 5660 or ISO 9705.

Soiled or damaged panels can be resurfaced with new Sonatex or Sonaris laminates for reuse in the ceiling. Helps extend life cycle and reduce construction waste. Register on practical completion.
Shall not commence until the building is watertight and dry. This product is designed to be mounted directly, suspended or laid into a two-way exposed grid system and installed to manufacturer’s and AS/NZS 2785:2020 Standard’s requirements. Panels are not to support any weight and equipment shall be independently supported. Hold down clips may be required in areas of wind uplift, and/or air grilles used to balance air pressure. Glue fix method; apply construction adhesive liberally to the back of panel and press firmly to clean, dust free substrate. Z bar framing method; support edge of panels with Z bar, Channel, T bar, Top Hat or timber battens. Suspended type systems requiring seismic design may require a suitably qualified engineer. Care shall be taken when handling panels to avoid damage.
Clean with vacuum, soft brush or damp cloth. Re-surfacing of damaged panels available, consult Asona.
