Product Description
Décortech Hoop Pine has a light coloured clean face with an even layup and excellent edge detail. Available in Interior and Exterior, For decorative purposes we recommend Interior Hoop Pine as it has a lighter, brighter, more consistent colour than Exterior Hoop Pine. For acoustic purposes where perforations are added to the ply, as the white glue lines are not visible when viewing down inside the perforations.
All Décortech standard perforations are available including slots, holes and Multigroove as well as any custom designed perforations. Custom size panels, cut-outs for lights, and negative edge details can also be provided.
Décortech panels come pre-finished by our Paintline as standard. The computer controlled application of paint gives a high quality, run free finish each time and our UV coatings cure instantly allowing for high productivity rates and a premium finish, making it a cost effective solution.
Scope of use
Interior is a non-structural grade of plywood that uses white glue
between the plywood laminations. This is ideal when specifying Hoop Pine for
decorative panelling as the glue used for interior suffers less colour
deterioration on the external veneers due to a lower setting point for the
glue.
Suitable applications
include wall and ceiling linings, acoustic panels especially for schools,
hospitals, commercial and public buildings, partition screens and display
panels. It is ideal in the most critical applications such as entrance areas
and exit corridors especially those used for emergency exits in case of fire.
Exterior Hoop Pine uses an A bond glue, dark in colour, to hold the
plywood lamination together. It carries an F17 stress grade and is suitable for
semi exposed applications.

We recommend cleaning the panels when required with a warm damp cloth. Do not use any solvents or abrasive cleaners.
Panels must be installed by qualified tradesmen and handled with care. The product must be stored inside, off the ground, in dry condition. Panels must not be left wrapped in a non-breathable material (i.e. plastic) for longer than 4 days and should be unpackaged and aired once they arrive on site. Interior plywood must not be used in exposed, wet or damp conditions. Panels should be kept fastened in a flat pack squarely on top of one another on site to reduce the chance of the sheets bowing or any edge discolouration.
