Edgetec Double Disc Frameless Glass Balustrade

Product Description

Edgetec Double Disc Anchor balustrade system is a 50mm diameter round fixing in a choice of aluminium or stainless finishes, with hidden fixing details as standard. Aluminium Double Discs are powder coated in our NZ factory, in a choice of modern colours to match the homes joinery and the frameless glass top rail. Marine Grade 316 stainless steel Double Discs in a mirror polished finish are also available.

Edgetec Double Disc Anchors face fix 12mm or 15mm toughened glass, 15.2mm or 17.2mm laminated glass, or 13.52mm or 17.52mm Sentry laminated glass.  The system is suitable for balustrades, including stairs and pool fencing up to 1250mm high.  

Slimline interlinking top rails (38mm x 30mm) for toughened glass panels, fixing clamps for laminated glass, or Sentry laminated glass panels ensure compliance with NZS4223.3.2016.

AS/NZS1170:2002, NZS 4223.3.2016, NZBC B1, B2, F2, F4 and F9 compliant. WARRANTY: 5 year product or 10 year powder coat warranty

Scope of use

Edgetec Double Disc Anchor Balustrade is suitable for internal or external settings, including: Domestic and Residential deck and balcony barriers, stairways, handrails, pool fencing and matching pool or stairway gates.  Offices and work areas not included elsewhere including storage areas and Residential or Commercial area without obstacles for moving people and not susceptible to overcrowding. Edgetec Double Disc Anchor Balustrade must only be installed in accordance with the Edgetec Double Disc Anchor product manual. Any deviation from standard fabrication or installation must be accompanied by a site specific PS1.

Installation requirements

Juralco Edgetec Double Disc Anchor Balustrade must only be installed in accordance with the Juralco Edgetec Double Disc Anchor Balustrade System manual.  Any deviation from that specified in the Edgetec Double Disc Anchor balustrade manual must only be in accordance with the site specific PS1, with site specific calculations and drawings listing the non standard details.The Juralco Edgetec Double Disc Anchor Balustrade System must only be fabricated/installed by a Juralco approved fabricator.

Maintenance requirements

The maintenance of aluminium and glass balustrades are similar st the recommended cleaning schedule is identical. In urban areas cleaning should take place every three months and rural areas every six months. In industrial and marine environments (within 1km of the sea), cleaning with a cold water wash should be monthly, as well as six monthly with a warm water detergent wash. Regular visual inspections will help to identify and fix any issues before they could become serious and should be done every few months.Anodised finishes with greasy deposits or hard to remove grime, should be cleaned with a soft cloth dipped in white spirit, turpentine or kerosene, then wiped with a dry rag.Rinse off with lots of clean fresh water.

Juralco Double Disc Anchor balustrade is warranted for 5 years.

Dulux powder coating warranty is 10 years for Duralloy and 20 years for Duratec (surface integrity).
