Scope of Use
The SRP Strongback would be suitable where there is space between the ceiling structure and the GIB plasterboard required for services or to make the ceiling lower then the ceiling structure.
The system has been designed to combine with the SRP 22mm Batten or SRP 35mm Batten, with appropriate clips.
Can be used with solid (angle) droppers or Suspension Hanger (wire) supports.
New Zealand Building Code (NZBC)
The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:
- Clause B1 Structure: Performance B1.3.3(a), B1.3.3(f), B1.3.3(h)
Compliance is by way of PS1 Design provided by SRP.
- Clause B2 Durability: Performance B2.3.1(a)
Galvanised coating system durability statement available from manufacturer.
- Clause G6 Airborne and impact sound: Performance G6.3.1
Acoustic testing available in the SRP Design Guide. Tested with a GIB Plasterboard system.
Notes
SRP Products are manufactured from Z275 Galvanised, G250 Steel - which is non-combustible.
