Product Description

Base Material:Minimum 50MPA high cement content giving it high compression strength, high density and very durable, low porosity giving high stain resistance

Dimensions:300 x 300 x 60 or 300 x 300 x 40

Finish:Sealed or Unsealed. Sealed pavers have increased slip resistance, brighter, more durable colour(can be resealed to restore colour)

GMCPH60 Guidemaster Concrete Paver Hazard Tactile Ground Surface Indicator (TGSI) - A Concrete Paver Hazard / Warning tactile indicator, embedding into mortar and rebated against substrate finish for roading, civil works and foot paths.

Warn the vision impaired of such warnings as:

Life threatening hazards where serious falls may occur, such as at railway platforms, wharves, vehicular driveways and exits from car parks, etc., which intersect or form access paths
To indicate that a point of importance has been reached, such as the location of a bus sign or tram stop or the location of a change of direction on a pedestrian crossing island or as wayfinding to signify the location of a change of direction while traveling
At the top and bottom of stairways and ramps warning of a change in level.
At pedestrian crossings to indicate the path of travel

The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:

The tactiles comply with the building code clause D1 Access Routes which ensure the safety of entry/exit to the building and the safety of any internal or external stairs. It ensures people can move safely into, within and out of buildings.

Compliant to NZBC acceptable solutions, designed primarily for the exterior environment, designed for accessibility to lead and guide the visually impaired to hazard / warning tactile.

Installation requirements

Embedded into Mortar and rebated against substrate finish. Complete Installation requirements available upon Freedom Strategies Ltd clients request.

Maintenance requirements

Regular Cleaning:

Remove dirt, debris, leaves, and other foreign materials from the tactile indicators regularly using a broom, brush, or a leaf blower.
Periodically wash the surface with water and mild detergent to remove stains and accumulated grime. Avoid using harsh chemicals that could damage the concrete or carborundum.

Regular Maintenance Schedule:

Establish a regular maintenance schedule for concrete paver tactile indicators with carborundum inserts, depending on the level of foot traffic and environmental conditions in the area. More heavily used areas may require more frequent inspections and maintenance.
