Scope of Use
Protecta FR Pipe Wrap Protecta FR Pipe Wrap is designed to maintain the fire resistance of fire-separating walls and floors breached by plastic pipes, conduits, or metal pipes with continuous combustible insulation. Suitable for interior use in drywall, masonry, and concrete constructions, with service penetrations up to 400mm diameter. It features a graphite-based reactive intumescent strip that expands when exposed to heat, sealing openings left by softening pipes or insulation during a fire. Assessed to AS1530.4:2014 and AS4072.1:2005, it provides fire classifications of up to 240 minutes integrity and insulation, excellent sound insulation, and suitability for a wide range of service penetrations. AS 4072.1:2005, providing fire resistance ratings (FRR) when applied to
