Scope of Use
FIRESTOP Duct Hatches are designed for use in fire-rated rectangular ducts (minimum width 310mm) and circular ducts (minimum 300mm diameter) where access is required for inspection, maintenance, or cleaning while maintaining the fire resistance of the ductwork. Designed for use with FIRESTOP Duct Wrap-38 systems, the hatch forms the fire seal to the duct, eliminating the need for a separate non-fire-rated access hatch. Suitable for horizontal and vertical installations with internal and external fire exposure conditions, the system is tested to AS1530.4:2014 and achieves fire ratings up to -/120/120. Standard hatch sizes are available for rectangular ducts, with custom options available for larger rectangular and circular ducts. Ideal for HVAC and kitchen extract duct applications. All installations must comply with tested or assessed systems to AS 1530.4:2014 and AS 4072.1:2005. Refer to firestopcentre.co.nz for FC tech drawings, product information, and test reports.
