Scope of Use
FIRESTOP Inspection Hatch is designed for use in fire-rated plasterboard walls and ceilings where access to concealed building services is required while maintaining the fire integrity of the system. Suitable for wall and ceiling systems rated up to -/60/60, the lightweight 300 × 300mm hatch can be installed directly into plasterboard without additional framing. Designed for interior applications, the hatch incorporates an intumescent sealing strip to help prevent the passage of smoke and flame without the need for additional sealant. The powder-coated finish provides a clean appearance without stopping or painting, making it ideal for commercial, residential, and maintenance access applications. All installations must comply with tested or assessed systems to AS 1530.4:2014 and AS 4072.1:2005. Refer to firestopcentre.co.nz for FC tech drawings, product information, and test reports.
