Product Description
Triton Duo 60™ is a 60 mm thick dual layer composite absorber/ attenuator ceiling panel with Sonatex™ facer 50mm absorber and high mass 740 kg/m³ 10mm attenuator backer. Designed for control of reverberation and speech privacy between offices, meeting rooms and attenuation of rain noise under metal roofing or plenum ventilation duct noise.
To compliment any interior, Duo 60 is available in a wide range of decorative acoustic laminate finishes, colours, woodprints, and perforated patterns.
Scope of use
Designed for control of both room reverberation and speech privacy between offices, meeting rooms and attenuation of rain noise under metal roofing, plenum mechanical services, buildings near aircraft flight paths or train lines. Panels simply lay into standard Rondo Donn exposed grid systems for ease of installation and plenum access where required.
• For interior use only, and not in direct contact with water.
• Not for use with negative air return plenums.
• Maximum humidity/temperature 99% R/H at 45°C.
• Back loading max. 1.5kg/m², point loads to be independently supported.
Service Panel Protection:
Panels are available with temporary foil covering to protect and keep panels
clean during the construction phase.
New Zealand Building Code (NZBC)
The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:
- Clause B2 Durability: Performance B2.3.1(c)
Clause
B2.3.1 (c) (i): 5 years if building elements are easy to access and replace.
Asona ceiling tiles with
only normal maintenance will have a minimum durability of at least 5 years when
installed in accordance with; manufacturer’s installation requirements and
AS/NZS 2785:2020.

Design requirements
Triton Duo 60™ is ideal for ceilings under metal roofs to control rain noise, mechanical services, buildings near aircraft flight paths, train lines or for private meeting room ceilings.
This product is designed to be mounted into a two-way exposed grid system and installed to manufacturer’s and AS/NZS 2785:2020 Standard’s requirements. Seismic design may require a suitably qualified engineer.
Renew & Reuse Stewardship Program: Soiled or damaged panels can be resurfaced with new Sonatex™ or Sonaris™ laminates for reuse in the ceiling. Helps extend life cycle and reduce construction waste. Register on practical completion.
Installation requirements
Shall not commence until the building is watertight and dry. This product is designed to be mounted into a two-way exposed grid system and installed to manufacturer’s, AS/NZS
2785:2020 Standard’s and AWCINZ Code of Practice requirements. Seismic design may require a suitably qualified engineer. Hold down clips may be required in areas of wind uplift, and/or air grilles used to balance air pressure. Care shall be taken when handling tiles to avoid damage.
Service Panel Protection:
Panels are available with temporary foil covering to protect and keep panels
clean during the construction phase.
Maintenance requirements
Clean with vacuum, soft brush or damp cloth. Re-surfacing of panels available, consult Asona.
Warrantees
Triton Duo 60 is covered by a 15 year limited warranty against manufacturing defects, extendable to 30years when registered on practical completion for Asona’s Renew and Reuse program.
Environmental
Global GreenTag Certified, Level A, contains 80% recycled glass waste, low VOC <0.005 Mg/M²/hr per ASTM D5116. Packaging return, panel Renew and Reuse programs.
