Product Description
Fenta ceiling tiles are manufactured from fibre cement sheet and pre-finished with a two-pack, UV cured polyurethane finish to front face and primer to back-face and edges.
Available in 4.5mm or 6mm thick, 595mm x 1195mm tiles in White Gloss, White Matt, Black Gloss, Black Matte and Fenta Digital, which incorporates a printed image sealed with a clear UV cured polyurethane coating.
Are suitable for use in a 1200mm x 600mm suspended two way ceiling grid system.
Scope of use
For internal use only.
For use in conjunction with a 1200mm x 600mm suspended two way ceiling grid system such as Rondo, Potters, T&R Systems, Comfortech grid systems.

The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:

Fenta ceiling tiles have a durability beyond 5
years, based on NZBC B2/VM1 clause 1.1 In-service history. Fenta has been manufactured and used in New
Zealand for over 30 years.

manufacturers product warranty
Durability is supported by durability testing refer
to BRANZ Report DC10203 Testing of AJ Bates Ltd UV Tile Panels dated 24 August
2018. Testing included high humidity
resistance, steam resistance, abrasion resistance, water resistance, scrub
resistance, thermal shock, stain/chemical resistance and impact resistance.

Fenta ceiling tiles have been tested using the cone
calorimeter test in accordance with ISO 5660 Part 1 & Part 2 (2002) and
(2015) and NZBC C/VM2 Appendix A. Fenta
ceiling tiles achieve a Group Number Classification of 1-S (with smoke less
than 250m2/kg). Refer to AWTA

- Clause F2 Hazardous building materials: Performance F2.3.1
Fenta ceiling tiles are not classified as
hazardous substances under HSNO.

However, this product does contain crystalline
silica which may be released on cutting and drilling. The substance if released is classified as
6.4A causes eye irritation, 6.7A may cause cancer and 6.9A causes damage to
organs through prolonged or released exposure.
Suitable respiratory protection is recommended when cutting and drilling
Fenta ceiling tiles and cutting should always occur in a well ventilated area. Refer to Fenta Safety Data Sheet for further
information.
The dust and fibres may be irritating to skin
and respiratory tract. Follow precautionary
safety recommendations on the Fenta Safety Data Sheet.

Fenta ceiling tile use as a lining in spaces
for food preparation is supported by durability testing refer to BRANZ Report
DC10203 Testing of AJ Bates Ltd UV Tile Panels dated 24 August 2018. Testing included high humidity resistance,
steam resistance, abrasion resistance, water resistance, scrub resistance,
thermal shock, stain/chemical resistance and impact resistance.
The surface clear coating on the Fenta Ceiling
Tiles contains an antimicrobial additive.

Product Criteria
Design requirements
The complete 1200mm x 600mm
suspended two way ceiling grid must comply with the requirements of
NZS4203:1992 and NZS/AS 2785:2000. The
exposed ceiling grid must be braced to resist seismic forces.
If a positive air and vapour
seal is required, install 10mm x 3mm Inseal 4254 tape to the horizontal of the
grid.
When different heat
conditions apply to the underside of tile and cavity above, a fibreglass mat
minimum 50mm thick is recommended to be installed over the tile.
Installation requirements
Installation to be in
accordance with Fenta Product / Technical Data Sheet and Fenta Specification
Details for Architects and Specifiers.
Store under cover and keep dry. Remove protective film from
product prior to installation.
Fenta ceiling tiles must be
clipped in place with a minimum of one clip per corner of tile and one in the
centre of each long side.
Maintenance requirements
Maintenance to be in accordance
with Fenta Maintenance Information for Effective performance.
The surface can be cleaned with
a damp cloth, and stubborn marks removed using a non-abrasive domestic cleaner.
To remove dirt and soap
build-up, wipe down tiles with Polycell Sugar Soap or kerosene on a damp cloth.
