Conectabal Commercial Balustrades prevent falls from retaining walls and elevated areas, with single or double handrail options designed for NZBC compliance (F4 Safety from Falling).
Manufactured from hot-dip galvanized steel with solid steel balusters, Conectabal balustrades are pre-engineered and pre-configured for compliance with the New Zealand Building Code (NZBC) and National Construction Code (NCC/BCA), and independently load-tested to AS/NZS 1170.1:2002. Flush connection points ensure a smooth, safe finish, available in standard or fire stair configurations.

B2 Durability: Galvanized to AS 4792 and AS/NZS 4680:2006, offering a minimum 5-year durability across all Exposure Zones when installed and maintained per Moddex specifications.
D1 Access Routes: Integrates with D1-compliant accessible handrails on accessible routes over 1m.
F4 Safety from Falling: Baluster spacing does not exceed 100mm horizontally, complying with F4 1.2 Balustrade Construction. Height is project-dependent to ensure compliance. Live loadings: Line: 0.75 kN/m | Concentrated: 0.6 kN | Infill: 1.0 kPa / 0.5 kN.
The Moddex Balustrade System must be installed to a substrate (designed by others) capable of resisting the applied loads. Not suitable for use on roads or public transport areas where barriers are required to meet vehicle loading requirements.
Conectabal balustrade systems must be installed by an accredited Moddex Installer in accordance with the Moddex Conectabal PS1 and Moddex Installation Guide.
Durability relies on installing and maintaining the Conectabal Balustrade according to Moddex specifications. Refer to the Moddex Care and Maintenance Manual for full maintenance guidelines.
