Flatbal commercial balustrades are designed to reduce the risk of falls from retaining walls, access and fire stairs, ramps and elevated areas, with single or double handrail options. They are designed to NZBC Clauses B1 Structure, B2 Durability, D1 Access Routes (handrail configurations) and F4 Safety from Falling.
Manufactured from hot-dip galvanised steel (AS/NZS 4680 and AS 4792), with an optional powder coat finish, Flatbal is a pre-engineered, modular system. Standard configurations are designed and static load tested to the barrier loads in AS/NZS 1170.1:2002 Table 3.3 for occupancy types A, B/E and C3.
