Perry Mild Steel Grating is walkway and accessway grating fabricated from steel load bars spaced and held by steel cross bars, forming an open grid. Load bar options include but are not limited to 3mm, 5mm, or 7mm thickness. Grating depth starts at 20mm and sizes above this are specified depending on product application and loading.
Load bars and twist rod bars are a minimum of 6mm thickness, and are forge welded together creating a panel with complete integrity.
All panels once cut to size are banded at the open ends to provide additional transverse stiffness and a finished architectural appearance.
Mild Steel Grating is supplied hot dip galvanized to the Australian/New Zealand Hot Dip Galvanizing Standard AS/NZS 4680:2006
Perry Grating can manage the entire project specification, from drawing and layout specification, through manufacturing and quality control to delivery and installation. Where required, a PS1 supporting specific design can be provided.

Durability: Perry Mild Steel Grating meets the durability requirements for
B2.3.1 (b) fifteen years
Access: Perry Mild Steel Grating installed in accordance with the
manufacturer’s instructions is free from dangerous obstructions and from any
projections likely to cause an obstruction. It satisfies the requirements of
D1.3.3(b) and meets the slip resistance requirements of D1.3.3(d) when both dry
F2 Hazardous Building Materials: Perry Mild
Steel Grating does not emit any harmful materials and satisfies F2.3.1.

Mild Steel Grating complies with AS1657:2013 Fixed platforms, walkways,
stairways and ladders – Design, construction and installation which is
referenced as an Acceptable Solution in D1/AS1 for access routes for service
and maintenance personnel.
Mild Steel Grating Load Bearing Bars are manufactured to comply to the steel
standards: AS 1594–H250 and AS 3679–250.
