Product Description
GreenStuf® Acoustic Absorption Blanket (AAB) is engineered to maximise sound absorption for the control of reverberated noise in building interiors. GreenStuf AAB is ideal for managing noise in theatres, studios, auditoriums, halls, offices, retail and indoor swimming pool complexes. GreenStuf AAB can also be used in marine applications, as acoustic baffles, acoustic infill for silencers and louvres, and insulation for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM). Available in black, grey, and white.

Scope of use
Limitations on Use of Building Product
- GreenStuf AAB must be installed only when the building
is enclosed and when construction materials have achieved
the required maximum moisture content or less.
- GreenStuf AAB might not be suitable for some
applications as stipulated in NZBC C1-C6 Protection
from fire. Please consult a fire engineer before
specifying GreenStuf insulation.
New Zealand Building Code (NZBC)
The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:
- Clause B2 Durability: Performance B2.3.1(a), B2.3.2
GreenStuf AAB is expected to have a serviceable life of at least 50 years where the insulation is not crushed or exposed to conditions that will degrade its performance and the building is maintained so that the provisions of E2 and E3 clauses are met.
- Clause F2 Hazardous building materials: Performance F2.3.1
There are no known hazards when using or handling GreenStuf AAB.
- Clause H1 Energy efficiency : Performance H1.3.1(a), H1.3.2E
GreenStuf AAB R-values have been determined by testing to AS/NZS 4859.1:2018
Notes
NZBC Compliance - GreenStuf® thermal insulation when installed in
accordance with the manufacturer's instructions will satisfy the 50 year
durability clause NZBC B2.3.1 (a).
Non Flammable - GreenStuf® is classified non-flammable. Fire Ratings ISO 9705: 1993

Installation requirements
GreenStuf AAB should ideally be installed
with the textured/patterned surface exposed to the
sound source.
GreenStuf AAB can be fixed to wall and
ceiling substrates using a contact type adhesive (ADOS F2)
and/or mechanical fixings such as insulation anchors.

Greenstuf insulation may not be
suitable for all applications, as stipulated in the NZBC.

Maintenance requirements
Greenstuf will maintain its durability when installed inline with the installation instructions. No maintenance is required.

Environmental
All GreenStuf® products are manufactured from 100%
polyester fibre and contain a minimum of 45% already recycled fibre (from PET
plastic) and are manufactured under Autex's zero waste policy.
GreenStuf® products are Green Star NZ & Homestar compatible
and GreenStuf® products have been independently assessed and verified
compliant with Living Building Challenge projects.
ISO Standards - Autex is committed to Quality and Environmental best
practice through our ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 certified Quality and
Environmental Management Systems.
GreenStuf is recyclable. GreenStuf will
gladly recycle used, uncontaminated GreenStuf insulation to
