Product Description
Supafil® Frame is an unbonded, virgin glasswool insulation designed with optimal thermal properties and excellent coverage and blowing characteristics.
Supafil® Frame is designed for installation
into walls, ceilings, skillion roofs and floors. Installation is subject to an assessment by an installer with a CodeMark accredited system,
applicable to either new or existing walls.
The product is silicone treated to provide the required
performance and enhanced durability. Supafil® Frame is a non-combustible glasswool product that
requires no mixing on site
Scope of use
Supafil® Frame is designed for installation
into walls, ceilings, skillion roofs and floors, subject to an assessment by an installer with a CodeMark accredited system,
applicable to either new or existing walls.
All aspects of this work shall be in complete accordance with Knauf Insulation product manuals and installation guides, (check www.knauf.com/en-NZ, or call 0800 562 834 for the latest editions). No substitutions are permitted for Supafil® Frame insulation.

The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:

Knauf Insulation Supafil Frame blown insulation is an Acceptable Solution in terms of New Zealand Building Code Compliance. Supafil Frame blown insulation thermal resistance (R-Value) is declared in accordance with the requirements of AS/NZS 4859.1 which is an acceptable method.

Supafil® Frame is a non-combustible glasswool product that requires no mixing on site.
Installation requirements
Supafil® Frame should only be installed by Approved Installers to ensure the highest quality installed performance.
Maintenance requirements
The building must be maintained weatherproof at all times.If, during normal routine maintenance it is discovered that moisture has entered the building envelope, or that dampness has occurred because of leaking plumbing or some other source, then that source must be repaired immediately.Wet or damp insulation must be removed and then replaced with new insulation of an equivalent thermal rating.Cavities must be clean, dry and free of all contaminants and mould before fitting new insulation.NZS 4246 Paragraph 3.3 gives guidance on thermal insulation maintenance due to water damage.

Knauf Insulation Ltd (Registered NZ Company No. 35 271 92) - (Knauf) - warrants that its range of unfaced glasswool insulation, including
Knauf Insulation, Earthwool® Glasswool and ecoInsulation (Product)
are manufactured in accordance with AS/NZS-4859.1 and are fit for the
purpose of insulating ceilings, skillion roofs, external timber frame walls,
underfloors and internal acoustic partitions, if tested in accordance with
the methodology referred to in AS/NZS-4859.1, if properly installed in
accordance with the installation instructions and if maintained according
to relevant Standards including AS-3999/NZS- 4246.
