Craftstone™ Select Schistclad stones are part of the Craftstone™ Real Stone Veneer System; New Zealand's only BRANZ Appraised system for the installation of real stone veneer. Craftstone™ veneers are bonded to substrates using our proprietary Craftbond Mortar Adhesive, made right here in New Zealand to suit our local conditions. Suitable substrates include 9mm fibre-cement board (over our appraised cavity system); brick; concrete block; tilt-slab masonry; AAC concrete; MgO board; insulated concrete form (ICF) and most other polystyrene systems.
Craftstone™ real stone veneers fit within the light and medium-weight cladding categories, are face-loaded, and require no lintels over doors or windows.
A full suite of technical detail drawings are available in a range of file types and our full-time Technical Manager is available to assist with alternative design details whenever needed.
Our system is BRANZ Appraised for use in extra high (ULS) wind zones and in all earthquake zones.
