Product Description
Tekton building wrap is a synthetic breather-type building wrap for use as a wall wrap and air barrier under direct and non-direct (over cavity battens) wall cladding on timber and steel framed buildings. The product is a coated spun-bonded polypropylene.
Fire retardant with a zero flammability index. However must be separated from fireplaces, heating appliances, flues and chimneys as required by the NZBC.
May be installed in buildings in wind zones up to and including very high.
Tekton building wrap is warranted to be free of defects in manufacture for a period of 50 years. Limited to replacement of the Tekton building wrap material.

The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:
- Clause B2 Durability: Performance B2.3.1(a)
- Clause E2 External moisture: Performance E2.3.2
- Clause F2 Hazardous building materials: Performance F2.3.1

Product Criteria
Design requirements
The wrap material is approximately 0.6mm tick and supplied in rolls 2740mm x 37 metres and 1370mm x 37 metres.
May be installed in walls that are unlined internally such as gable ends.
Can be left exposed for up to 60 days.
Will not lose integrity if exposed to soaps, detergents, or cleaning chemicals.
Non absorbent claddings like vinyl and metal cannot be direct fixed to Tekton - These claddings must be on a cavity.
Tekton Building Wrap has an AS 1530 Part 2 Flammability Index of 0 and meets the requirements of NZBC Acceptable Solution C/AS1 Part 6, Table 6.2 for surface finish requirements for suspended flexible fabrics, and therefore it may be used with no restrictions in all buildings.
Installation requirements
Install must be carried in accordance with the technical literature and by a competent tradesperson/s with an understanding of wall wrap installation. Refer to the Marshall innovation Specification for Tekton
building wrap. Studs must be at a maximum of 600mm centres, with nogs flush at

Maintenance requirements
Once the Tekton Building Wrap has been install correctly, the nature of the product means no maintenance is required.
Warrantees
Tekton Wall Underlay meets the durability requirements of
NZBC B2.3.1(a), 50 years and B2.3.1(b), 15 years. Tekton
Wall Underlay is warranted to be free of defect in
manufacture. This warranty is limited to replacement of the
Tekton Wall Underlay material. Marshall Innovations
NZ/AUS Ltd (the distributor) is not liable for incorrect
installation or any accidental or wilful damage to the
product.
Environmental
Tekton contains more than 23% Post Industrial recycle content.
