Scope of use
Single or double layer systems directly torched to floor slabs , footings , block walls and planter boxes.
Precast concrete or insitu concrete complying with NZS 3101 or concrete masonry complying with NZS 4230 and 4210.
New Zealand Building Code (NZBC)
The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:
- Clause B2 Durability: Performance B2.3.1(a)
- Clause E2 External moisture: Performance E2.3.3
- Clause F2 Hazardous building materials: Performance F2.3.1
Design requirements
Easylift torchon tanking is for below ground footings , blockwalls , insitu or precast concrete. Installed in a single layer , or double layer system ,fully protected.
Installation requirements
All substrates need to be primed before application. Application instructions for the primers are contained in the technical data sheets.
Starting at the lowest point , the membrane must be installed in accordance with Mapei NZ ltd technical literature. Sheet laps , edges and ends must be overlapped as per technical literature. Internal and external corners must be reinforced with an extra layer of membrane 300 mm wide. Protection must be installed (polyfond Kit drain) before back filling. Back filling must commence immediately after the membrane is installed to ensure no long time exposure to sunlight or UV radiation.
Maintenance requirements
Annual inspections must be made to membranes top edge seal and termination bar. Check all drainage outlets , to ensure all systems are functioning correctly. If required the drainage coil / or pipe must be cleared to remove any sediment or silt build up. The falls of the back fill capping must be maintained.

15 Years Durability Warranty for a single layer system
20 Years Durability Warranty for a 2 layer 3mm+3mm system.
Only to be installed by an approved Mapei NZ ltd installer.
Quality of installation on site is the sole responsibility of the Mapei NZ ltd approved applicator. Building Owners are responsible for the maintenance of the membrane system in accordance with Mapei NZ Ltd. Maintenance and Care documents will be provided with every warranty application.
