Product Description

ACQ treated textured plywood cladding, available with a grooved or ungrooved face, primed or unprimed.

Available in 2,440mm, 2,745mm and 3050mm long sheets (a scarf joint is used to join 2440mm sheet with either a 305 or 610mm extension to produce 2745mm or 3050mm length sheets. The scarf joint has a visible dark line going across the panel and two sections may have colour differences)

Scope of use

Location In wind zones up to extra high, as defined in NZS 3604:2011 or to a design wind pressure (ULS) of 2.5kPa.

In all exposure zones as defined in NZS 3604:2011. Where adverse microclimatic conditions apply, as set out in paragraph 4.2.4, NZS 3604:2011, contact IBUILT for technical advice.

On any building site, must be located further than 1m from a relevant boundary. Building in conjunction with a primary structure that complies with the NZ Building Code, or where the designer and/or installer has established that the existing structure is suitable for the intended building work. The building is to fall within the scope of E2/AS1 paragraph 1.1 for building height and floor area. CoreClad may be direct fixed or installed over a drained, ventilated cavity. Direct fixed only applies where the elevation has a risk score of 6 or less (refer table 3, E2/AS1).              

New Zealand Building Code (NZBC)

The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:

• Clause B1 Structure: Performance B1.3.1, B1.3.2, B1.3.3, B1.3.3(a), B1.3.3(b), B1.3.3(f), B1.3.3(h), B1.3.3(j), B1.3.3(m), B1.3.3(q), B1.3.4, B1.3.4(a), B1.3.4(b), B1.3.4(c), B1.3.4(d), B1.3.4(e)

  Manufactured to AS/NZS 2269 in accordance with EWPAA certification [EWPAA, 8/01/2019].

  Plywood manufactured to AS/NZS 2269 is referenced in E2/AS1 for use as a rigid air barrier and external cladding, implying plywood manufactured to this standard will have the necessary structural integrity for those uses.

• Clause B2 Durability: Performance B2.3.1, B2.3.1(b), B2.3.2, B2.3.2(b)

  Tested for H3 treatment retention and achieves requirements of AS/NZS 1604.3 in accordance with NZS 3602:2003 [Independent Verification Services, 31/01/2018].

• Clause E2 External moisture: Performance E2.3.2, E2.3.5, E2.3.7, E2.3.7(a), E2.3.7(b), E2.3.7(c)

  Installation to section 9.8.

• Clause F2 Hazardous building materials: Performance F2.3.1

  Mill certified by EWPAA [EWPAA, 8/01/2019]
