Compliance Statement
Scope of Use
LumberworX I-Beams are certified for use:
a. in specific design to Verification Method B1/VM1, and
b. in non-specific design for floor joists and rafters for specified design
conditions using the span tables in the LumberworX LIB88s Design and
Construction Guide: Issue 14 - May 2023, and
c. where the level of timber treatment specified by Acceptable Solution B2/AS1
and referenced Standard NZS3602:2003 Timber and wood-based products for use in
building is not greater than H1.2.
LumberworX I-Beams shall:
a. be designed and installed in accordance with the LumberworX LIB88s Design
and Construction Guide: Issue 14 - May 2023, and
b. shall not be exposed to the weather for more than 8 weeks
New Zealand Building Code (NZBC)
The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:

Design requirements
Structural Design
The LumberworX I-Beam (LIB) is an ‘I’ shaped engineered timber
structural member for use in residential and light commercial
construction.
This guide includes flooring and roofing applications; review by a
design professional is required for uses beyond the scope of this
guide. (See table 1 — page 5 for design properties).
Structural design meets the requirements of the New Zealand
Building Code and the load conditions and deflection
recommendations of AS/NZS 1170.0 Structural Design Actions.

• 88 x 35mm LVL E11 Flanges to AS/NZS 4357.0:2005
• 12mm Structural Strandboard
• PUR type structural adhesive rated for service class 3 AS/
NZS4364:2010 Timber - Bond Performance of Structural

LUMBERWORX I-BEAMS (LIB) ARE I-BEAMS CONSISTING OF AN LVL FLANGE AND A WEB MADE OF EITHER STRAND BOARD OR TREATED ORIENTATED STRAND BOARD (OSB).
LUMBERWORX I-BEAMS ARE STRUCTURAL MEMBERS FOR USE AS FLOOR JOISTS, RAFTERS, PURLINS AND CEILING JOISTS.
