Scope of use
Perry
Mild Steel Grating is designed to provide walkway access in a wide range of
industrial, processing and public access situations.
It
can also be used as a vertical or horizontal screen.

B1
Structure: Perry Mild Steel Grating complies
with the structural requirements of B1.3.1, B1.3.2 for the relevant actions of
B1.3.3 (a, b, f, h), and B1.3.4.
B2
Durability: Perry Mild Steel Grating meets the durability requirements for
B2.3.1 (b) fifteen years
D1
Access: Perry Mild Steel Grating installed in accordance with the
manufacturer’s instructions is free from dangerous obstructions and from any
projections likely to cause an obstruction. It satisfies the requirements of
D1.3.3(b) and meets the slip resistance requirements of D1.3.3(d) when both dry
and wet.
F2 Hazardous Building Materials: Perry Mild
Steel Grating does not emit any harmful materials and satisfies F2.3.1.

Perry
Mild Steel Grating complies with AS1657:2013 Fixed platforms, walkways,
stairways and ladders – Design, construction and installation which is
referenced as an Acceptable Solution in D1/AS1 for access routes for service
and maintenance personnel.
Perry
Mild Steel Grating Load Bearing Bars are manufactured to comply to the steel
standards: AS 1594–H250 and AS 3679–250.
Perry Mild Steel Grating is supplied hot-dip
galvanised to the Australian/New Zealand Hot Dip Galvanizing Standard AS/NZS
4680:2006

Product Criteria
Design requirements
Load bar options include but are not limited to 3mm, 5mm, or
7mm thickness. Grating depth starts at 20mm and sizes above this are specified
depending on product application and loading.

Installation requirements
Panels are supplied
to site, banded for installation. Perry Grating fixings clips are recommended
for securing grating to the support structure.
Maintenance requirements
Perry Mild Steel grating may require a cleaning and maintenance schedule based on the environment
in which it is used.
Warrantees
Contact Perry Grating for a conformance letter based
on element exposure and application.
