Scope of Use
- Is suitable to be used as an internal lining on walls/ceilings.
- Is suitable for use in some wet areas such as kitchens and laundries and some bathroom applications when a coating is applied.
- Is suitable for use where fire ratings need to achieve a group 1-s when combined with an intumescent coating.
- Is suitable for both commercial and residential applications.
- Is not suitable for exterior applications where ambient environmental moisture content is likely to be elevated for extended periods such as interior swimming pools, sauna or industrial wet areas.
- Is not recommended for wet areas where consistent contact with moisture will occur.
- Is expected to change colour with UV exposure, this is not considered a defect but a natural occurrence in all timber products. Blinds, UV films or glazing can be used to mitigate the risk.
- Is not suitable for high-wear applications such as bench tops, counters or tabletops.
- Is not intended to provide structural bracing to the building.
New Zealand Building Code (NZBC)
The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:
- Clause B2 Durability: Performance B2.3.1, B2.3.1(c)
Contribution to B2.3.1(c)(i) and (ii): VidaGroove Reclaimed Products have a 5-year product warranty. This ensures the productwill be free from manufacturing defects or delamination for 5 years from the purchase date. VidaGroove Reclaimed has a Janka hardnessrating of 1,110lbf and a coating system can be applied to protect the panel's surface. - Clause C3 Fire affecting areas beyond the fire source: Performance C3.4, C3.4(a)
Contribution to C3.4(a) and (b): VidaGroove Reclaimed products achieve a group 3 fire rating with a standard coating, this relates to flash-over occurring between 2-10 minutes. VidaGroove Reclaimed panels can achieve a group 1-s fire rating when an intumescent coating is introduced, resulting in flash-over occurring after 20 minutes with a smoke growth rate of less than 5m2/s. - Clause E3 Internal moisture: Performance E3.3.4, E3.3.5, E3.3.6
Contribution to E3.3.4 and E3.3.5 and E3.3.6: When VidaGroove Reclaimed products have a coating system applied it creates a surface that is impervious and easily cleaned. - Clause F2 Hazardous building materials: Performance F2.3.1
Contribution to F2.3.1: VidaGroove Reclaimed is safe when handled, has no added formaldehyde, and achieves an E1 Formaldehyde Emission rating.

Design requirements
VidaGroove Reclaimed is a collection of genuinely reclaimed timbers sourced from the Great Lakes region in North America. Salvaged from old barns and sheds, the timbers are then graded and milled into install-ready boards.
VidaGroove Reclaimed products are designed for internal wall cladding and are suitable for residential, commercial, hotel, office, retail and hospitality fit-outs.
VidaGroove Reclaimed products are unfinished and are available in a range of sizes.
Installation requirements
- We recommend VidaGroove Reclaimed Products are handled and installed by an experienced joiner/builder.

Maintenance requirements
If needed VidaGroove Reclaimed can be cleaned with a damp cloth or a vacuum cleaner.
