Scope of use
The CS AluTec is available by request for large commercial projects where oversized aluminium sliding doors are required.
New Zealand Building Code (NZBC)
The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:
- Clause B2 Durability: Performance B2.3.1, B2.3.1(c)
- Clause F2 Hazardous building materials: Performance F2.3.1

Use in Service History
CS AluTec door leaves have been successfully used in commercial and residential projects in New Zealand and Australia since 2007. CS Door Leaves are backed by a 5 year written guarantee.
Product Criteria
Design requirements
Suitable for use in sliding, pivot and hinged door applications. It is designed to withstand the elements and may be used in both interior and exterior situations.
Finish options:
- Mill finish - no top coat is applied to the raw aluminium, allowing a final prep and finish by others.
- Stainless Steel skin - for increased durability. Particularly suited to high security areas. Available in a variety of plain or textured finishes.
- Paint finish - a wide range of standard colours are available to choose from.
Installation requirements
Product must be handled carefully during transit. The pre-finished
surface should be protected from damage by subcontractors and site works
during construction.
Maintenance requirements
Pre-finished items should be cleaned regularly (at least once every 6 months in interior applications and more often in industrial or exterior environments) with a dilute solution of mild, neutral liquid detergent, e.g. dish washing detergent, warm water (40˚C), and a soft, lint free cloth or brush.
Do not use abrasive cleaning tools such as steel wool, hard brushes, abrasive scourers, etc. as these may damage the coating surface and change the colour or gloss levels of the finish. Rinse suds off thoroughly with fresh water and dry with a clean cloth.It is vital that any other chemicals such as petrol, strong alkalines or acids are NOT used on any pre-finished surface.
Warrantees
Five year warranty on CS Door Leaves manufactured by CS For Doors. Excludes normal wear and tear including but not limited to replaceable parts and powder coated / pre-finished surfaces.
Environmental
CS FOR DOORS operates a zero waste policy with all metal offcuts and
waste recycled.
