BAS® Evazite UV

Product Description

BAS®Evazite UV is a pre-formed, low density, cross-linked, closed cell, light stabilised EVA/PE (Ethyl Vinyl Acetate-Polyethylene) foam joint seal. It is bonded in place using BAS®ProPoxy, a 2-part water tolerant epoxy adhesive/primer. BAS®Evazite is specifically designed to accommodate multi directional movements commonly found on a bridge structures, building expansion joints, parking decks, and water treatment facilities. From its nominal width, it can accept compression of 60%, tension of 30% and shear of 50%. Due to BAS®Evazite’s closed-cell structure, BAS®Evazite is resistant to abrasion, oxidation, oils, salt and other materials that come in contact with the seal. Grooves are placed along the vertical edges of the seal to ensure that sufficient surface area is available for the epoxy bonding agent to form a permanent,robust bond to the structure. Additional features are UV resistance and the ability to withstand hydro-static pressure.
