Compliance Statement
Scope of Use
Hallmark Cavity Sliders
are designed for, but is not limited to, use in projects within the following
scope:
-
Housing and residential
apartment buildings, and their associated ancillary and outbuildings -
interior use.
- Commercial buildings, and their
associated ancillary and outbuildings - interior use
Hallmark Cavity Sliders
may be used in projects outside this scope if other parties such as architects
or specifiers establish appropriate design and installation requirements.
New Zealand Building Code (NZBC)
The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:
- Clause B2 Durability: Performance B2.3.1(b)
Hallmark Cavity Sliders have a durability beyond 15
years when correctly installed and maintained, based on historical in-market
use.
- Clause D1 Access routes: Performance D1.3.1(b), D1.3.1(c), D1.3.4(f)
Hallmark
Cavity Sliders can be used within as accessible route where design
consideration is given to compliance to NZBC D1/AS1, paragraph 7.0. Doors to be
installed with door handles that meet the requirements of NZBC D1/AS1 clause
7.0.5. The selection of hardware to meet these requirements is not the
responsibility of Hallmark Group.
- Clause F2 Hazardous building materials: Performance F2.3.2, F2.3.3
Hallmark Cavity Sliders and Doors are manufactured
using inert, nontoxic materials. If required, Hallmark Door vision panel
glazing complies with NZS 4223.3.
