Product Description

FIRESTOP Duct Wrap-25 is a 25mm thick, flexible fire-rated insulation blanket encapsulated in reinforced aluminium foil for passive fire protection of smaller circular metal HVAC and kitchen extract ducts up to 300mm diameter. The system is designed to maintain the fire resistance of duct penetrations through fire-rated walls and floors, helping to prevent the spread of fire and smoke between compartments. Duct Wrap-25 has been tested to AS 1530.4:2014 (Section 9) and AS 4072.1:2005 for internal fire exposure conditions when installed in accordance with the relevant tested system. The system includes FIRESTOP Weld Pins, FIRESTOP Straps, and FIRESTOP Embossed Tape as part of the tested assembly. Standard roll sizes are 400mm wide × 5000mm and 1200mm wide × 7320mm.

FIRESTOP Duct Wrap-25 is designed for passive fire protection of smaller circular metal HVAC and kitchen extract ducts up to 300mm diameter where ducts penetrate fire-rated walls and floors. Suitable for use in plasterboard, masonry, and concrete constructions, the system helps maintain the fire resistance of compartment walls and floors while reducing the spread of fire and smoke between compartments. Designed for internal fire exposure applications only, the system consists of a 25mm thick fire-rated insulation blanket used in conjunction with FIRESTOP Weld Pins, FIRESTOP Straps, and FIRESTOP Embossed Tape as part of the tested assembly. Product Criteria

Design requirements

FIRESTOP Duct Wrap-25 is suitable for applications on circular metal ductwork up to 300mm diameter, including kitchen exhaust systems. The system has been tested for internal fire exposure conditions.

The product must be installed in accordance with the relevant tested and assessed systems to AS 1530.4:2014 and AS 4072.1:2005, including duct penetrations through fire-rated substrates.

Ductwork to be constructed in accordance with AS4245.2-2012 Pressure class 500 or higher.

Installation requirements

Refer to firestopcentre.co.nz for FC tech drawings, product information, and test reports relating to specific application, design, and installation instructions. Products must not be modified in any way that may compromise performance. All fire-rated service penetrations must be labelled in accordance with AS 4072.1:2005.

FIRESTOP products should be stored in a clean, dry location and kept in their original packaging prior to installation.

Maintenance requirements

FIRESTOP passive fire protection products have no specific maintenance requirements. Damaged products should be repaired or replaced to maintain the required FRR of the fire-rated system.
