Product Criteria
Design requirements
Sonawood™ perforated acoustic panels from either MDF or plywood are inherently robust, so are suitable for a variety of environments if durability is a requirement along with acoustic control. They can be used as feature ceilings, entire ceilings, individual location panels, or as a grid and tile ceiling. A specific FR formulation MDF option provides a Group 2-S early fire resistant rating. Available in a range of sheet sizes and thicknesses, hole or slot perforations, colours, woodgrain and painted or clear coat finishes to compliment interior designs, as well as noise control with an integrated acoustic backing. Also available non-perforated.
Installation requirements
Sonawood™ panels can be direct fixed, used with concealed suspended systems or smaller tiles for standard Rondo Donn® exposed grid ceilings, as well as wall mounting.
Refer to Asona Sonawood™ TDS for specific individual installation requirements.
Maintenance requirements
No specific maintenance for
B2 compliance. Clean with vacuum, soft brush. May be cleaned with a damp soapy cloth, clean away residual soap and dry after cleaning.
Warrantees
Manufacturers 15-year
warranty against manufacturing defects and durability compliance per NZBC B2 of 15 years.
