Scope of Use
BRANZ appraised, flexible synthetic underlay consisting of a micro-porous, water-resistant inner layer laminated to spun-bonded polypropylene layers. Fire-retardant with a flammability index of ≤5, tested to AS/NZS 1530.2. Appraised for use up to and including very high wind zones and when installed over a rigid wall underlay for extra high wind zones. Coloured grey with brand logo printed along roll length. Available in 1500mm wide x 50m long and 2740mm wide x 36.5m long rolls.Ventia Iron Wall Underlay is suitable for use behind direct fixed and non-direct fixed, absorbent and non-absorbent wall cladding on timber or light steel framed buildings, underlay in accordance with NZBC E2/AS1, Table 23 and NZS 2295, Table 2.4.Ventia Iron Wall Underlay can also be used as an air barrier in unlined walls behind stucco plaster, or as a non-rigid backing material when supported by 75mm galvanized mesh, or as a slip layer over rigid backing, to NZBC E2/AS1.
