Scope of Use
Sonatex™ is made in New Zealand from glass mat composite sheets bonded together then laminated onto a variety of acoustic facing materials. These finishes are designed for Asona's Triton and Polyfon high sound absorbing ceiling panels.
• For interior use only, and not in direct contact with water.
• Not for use with negative air return plenums.
• Maximum humidity/temperature exposure 99% R/H at 45°C.
New Zealand Building Code (NZBC)
The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:
- Clause B2 Durability: Performance B2.3.1(c)
Clause B2.3.1 (c) (i): 5 years if building elements are easy
to access and replace.
Asona Sonatex Laminates with only normal
maintenance will have a minimum durability of at least 5 years when applied and installed
in accordance with; manufacturer’s installation requirements and AS/NZS
2785:2020.

Asona Sonatex laminates have a Fire Material Group Number 1-S by NZBC
verification method C/VM2 Appendix A, tested in accordance with ISO 5660 or ISO
9705.
