Scope of use
Stärke Ambiance Inline Window system Suite uPVC Windows and Doors must be installed in accordance according to
Starke specific installation detailing.
Product must be maintained in accordance with the Stärke Maintenance and Care Guide.
All products detailed below are suitable for use in the EXTRA HIGH wind zones (as defined in NZS3604), and are also suitable in SED wind zones, depending on project specifics.
- Stärke Ambiance Inline Window system Awning/fixed window up to 2100mm high x 3210mm wide
- Stärke Ambiance Inline Window system Hinged Door open out up to 2100mm high x 1150mm wide
- Stärke Ambiance Inline Window system Hinged Door open in up to 2100mm high x 1400mm wide
- Stärke Ambiance Inline Window system Hinged French Door open out up to 2100mm high x 2230mm wide
The following attributes shall be determined specifically:
- Vision barriers must be specified when required for compliance with NZBC F2.3.2
- Safety glazing must be specified when required for compliance with NZBC F2.3.3
- Suitable restrictor stays must be specified when required for compliance with NZBC F4.3.1

Product Criteria
Design requirements
STARKE Ambiance Inline (recessed) installation detail is to be used with the STARKE Ambiance high performance uPVC suite of windows and doors.
Is to be used to increase the thermal performance and reduce the thermal bridge of the installation. Care needs to be taken that the installation details are followed exactly, and any variations to be signed off by STARKE.
Is suitable for up to Extra High Wind zones, for all units with horizontal heads and sills, and vertical jambs. Can further be used on units with raking heads if required.
Installation requirements
Installation to be as follows:
Cut open building wrap and line sill and top corners with standard sill tape as per E2/AS1 process.
Install the sill flashing ensuring 5mm space off the building line, and 17mm up from the timber sill. Fix at 450 centres.
Install the window with the groove into the sill flashing, and tack into place
Install the head flashing into the window groove, and Fix at 450 centres, and tape above the head flashing back to the building wrap.
Fix the window off using the fixing tabs at 450 centres.
Install the jamb flashings, cutting exactly to length between the head and sill. Fix at 450 centers.
Install the air-seal tape on the inside of the window.
Install the flashing end caps.
Maintenance requirements
uPVC is very low maintenance.
Wash every 6 months with warm soapy water, and ensure drain holes are clear.
