Product Description
Scope of use
Nuraply TPO is used as a roof and deck
waterproofing membrane on buildings within the following scope:
• the scope limitations of NZBC Acceptable Solution E2/AS1, Paragraph 1.1; or,
• the scope limitations of NZBC Acceptable Solution E2/AS1, Paragraph 1.1 with respect to building height and
maximum floor plan area when subject to specific structural design; and,
• with building structures designed and constructed to meet the requirements of the NZBC; and,
• with substrates of plywood or suspended concrete slabs; and,
• with minimum falls for roofs of 1:30 and decks of 1:40
• with decks that have a maximum area of 40 m2; and ,
• situated in NZS 3604 Wind Zones, up to, and including Extra High.
• potable water collection can be utilised, tested
in accordance to AS/NZS 4020
New Zealand Building Code (NZBC)
The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:
- Clause B2 Durability: Performance B2.3.1, B2.3.1(b)
- Clause E1 Surface water: Performance E1.3.1, E1.3.2, E1.3.3, E1.3.3(a), E1.3.3(b), E1.3.3(c), E1.3.3(d), E1.3.3(e), E1.3.3(f)
- Clause E2 External moisture: Performance E2.3.1, E2.3.2, E2.3.6
- Clause F2 Hazardous building materials: Performance F2.3.1
- Clause G12 Water supplies: Performance G12.3.1, G12.3.2(a), G12.3.2(b), G12.3.2(c)

Nuraply TPO is intended to be used for as waterproofing membranes for roofs and decks on buildings, as part of a cold roof construction or with Enertherm PIR as a Nuratherm warm roof construction.
Nuraply TPO provides a smooth, light grey surface with minimal lines from lap joints. It is suitable for potable water collection.
Nuraply TPO is typically installed by being fully bonded to the substrate with glue, but can be mechanically fixed to the substrate, enabling the overlay of existing membranes.
Nuraply TPO can be directly laid onto plywood and concrete substrates, but is also to be laid onto Nuralite Enertherm PIR as part of a Nuratherm warm roof.
Typical components that are used in the installation of Nuraply TPO include glues, sealants and electric hot air torches.
Extra optional components to Nuraply TPO are available such as pourable penetration sealant pockets and the Nuralite Fixing plate

General requirements for substrate are in our installation manual, this also details how the applicator should install the product, and includes check sheets for project sign of that must be carried out.
Maintenance requirements
Our maintenance requirements are included towards the end of our installation manual.
Generally, the owner should arrange inspections during spring and autumn the first year (to check the effect of annual extremes).
Following this, an annual programme of inspection and cleaning should be established as part of general building maintenance.
Any inspection of a roof should include the interior of the building for signs of water penetration or condensation and for alterations, which may have affected the roof. Externally, abutting construction, which can affect the performance of the roof, should also be inspected.
To maintain the material defects warranty, every five years the owner must engage an Approved Applicator to inspect the roof and ensure it remains in good condition. Failure to maintain the roof system will void the warranty.The Applicator must thoroughly check the roof for signs of damage, water ingress or potential problems.
