Product Description

Allproof Industries Polymer Concrete (PC) range provides a durable high capacity drainage solution for exterior surface drainage. Ideal for any situation from residential driveways to expansive external areas on large commercial projects.

The range utilises polymers to supplement cement as the binder material, this creates a durable and flexible product that is highly resistant to a wide variety of chemicals and has extremely low permeability, making it excellent for commercial linear drainage installation.

Polymer Concrete has a physically flexible attribute giving it a higher durability once installed and resistance to cracking due to loadings passing across the channel.

PC is the ideal solution to all heavy duty channel requirements. Available in a range of widths, depths and grate options rated from load class A to D.

All channels and grates come as standard with lockdowns to secure the grates and prevent any damage through movement. Security lockdowns may be available depending on system set up and project requirements, please contact Allproof for more information.

Grates from this range can be utilised on other systems manufactured by Allproof Industries allowing designers to create consistency throughout their project.

This system also incorporates a range of inline sumps and pits available with compatible grates to complete an aesthetically consistent system that performs to a high level of hydraulic design.

Design Guidelines

The system design accommodates runs of up to 43 meters, terminating at a sump. A mirror image can then be run in the opposite direction, resulting in maximum length of 86 meters between sumps. Overall system length is unlimited. This may be reduced dependent on required capacities or other constraints. We suggest engaging a Hydraulics Consultant with your exact requirements.

On site mitre cuts are used to form corners, junctions and irregular lengths.

Joints can be sealed with suitable flexible sealant if required.

Outlets are achieved by utilising pre marked knockouts.

Allproof supply a wide range of grates to meet durability and capacity requirements. These include stainless steel, galvanised steel, glass filled nylon and cast iron.

*Note Cast Iron Grates supplied painted black. Oxidisation can occur naturally, is aesthetic, and will not impact on grate performance. Repaint grates as part of maintenance if black finish desired.

End Caps & sumps available to complete the system.

Scope of use

Allproof's Polymer Concrete range is designed for the management of surface water catchment on medium to large areas. Once in the system waste water can then channeled into the storm water system via our matching range of Sumps and Pits.

Grate options cater for a wide variety of requirements, providing excellent solutions for everything from high foot traffic pedestrianised areas to heavy load resistant commercial applications (i.e. loading docks).

Allproof's base channel can be utilised in applications requiring varying load ratings by the use of differing grates from the range and concrete embedment.

New Zealand Building Code (NZBC)

The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:

Evidence

The product meets the requirements set out in the following documents, or relevant parts of cited standards within the documents:

Allproof Polymer concrete channels are designed to be fully compliant with the requirements of New Zealand building code E1. However due to project specific variations it is recommended that a Hydraulics Engineer is engaged to aid in the selection of a system and ensure that it is adequate for your unique requirements and fit for the intended purpose.

Installation requirements

A minimum concrete surround is required to meet load capacity requirements, please see documentation available on our website allproof.com.

Channels are set to height on a bed of concrete to achieve required embedment and finished paving height.

We suggest that site concrete is used to haunch the channel into position and prevent movement during concrete placement.

It is important to support the channel from the weight of the setting concrete by having either the original grates, or appropriate bracing in place. Protect grates from concrete contamination during installation by wrapping in plastic or masking tape. Alternatively, timber infills to match grate width can be installed during concrete pour to maintain channel design width.

Chemicals used during installation and finishing may react with a galvanised edge and/or grates, please ensure this has been catered for or a stainless steel finish may be required.

Maintenance requirements

Please see http://www.allproof.com.au/maintenance for all maintenance advice.

All grates are removable and regular cleaning and removal of debris is advised to maintain the channel function.

Sumps require regular cleaning as per E1 stipulation.
