Product Description
Scope of use
Equus Soprema Duo Roof Membrane Systems have been appraised as roof waterproofing membranes on buildings within the following scopes:
- the scope limitations of NZBC Acceptable Solution E2/AS1 paragraph 1.1 or
- the scope limitations of NZBC Acceptable Solution E2/AS1 paragraph 1.1, with regards to building height and floor plan area when subject to specific structural design, and
- with substrates of plywood or suspended concrete slab, and
- situated in NZS 3604 Wind Zones, up to ad including Extra High or
- situated within specific design wind pressures up to a maximum design differential ultimate limit state (ULS) of 4Kpa and
- with the weather tightness design of junctions for each specific structure being the responsibility of the building designer.
- nominally flat or pitched roofs instructed to drain water to gutters and drainage outlets comply with the NZBC
- with no integral roof gardens.
New Zealand Building Code (NZBC)
The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:
- Clause B2 Durability: Performance B2.3.1(b)
- Clause E2 External moisture: Performance E2.3.1, E2.3.2
- Clause F2 Hazardous building materials: Performance F2.3.1

Product Criteria
Installation requirements
Must be installed by an approved Equus applicator.
Installation of substrates must be completed by a trades person with understanding of roof construction,
Maintenance requirements
The membrane roof system must be checked annually for damage rubbish or debris. Any damage such as small punctures or tears must be repaired by a recommended Equus applicator.
