Product Description
Scope of use
STEELFIX Stainless Steel pipes and press fitting systems can be used for the following applications:
- Potable water
- Central Heating
- Cooling Water
- Sprinkler Installation
- Compressed Air
- Industrial Installations
- Solar Installations
New Zealand Building Code (NZBC)
The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:
- Clause B1 Structure: Performance B1.3.2
- Clause B2 Durability: Performance B2.3.1(a)
- Clause F2 Hazardous building materials: Performance F2.3.1
- Clause G10 Piped services: Performance G10.3.1
- Clause G12 Water supplies: Performance G12.3.2, G12.3.7
- Clause H1 Energy efficiency : Performance H1.3.4(c)

Product Criteria
Design requirements
All designs and construction shall be within the requirements and the tables set out in the steelFIX Australasian Technical
Specification ver 8 and the STEELFIX Stainless Hot & Cold Water Pipe System Handbook 05/2016 - available from
the manufacturer’s web site www.kekelit.com or www.kekelit.co.nz, including design velocities in accordance with the
corresponding European standards referenced, and all other uses are outside the scope of this certificate
Installation requirements
Installation shall be performed by KE KELIT (NZ) Ltd. trained and approved installers, who shall be suitably qualified
Licensed Building Practitioners
Installation and maintenance - where applicable - of the STEELFIX Stainless Hot & Cold Pipe System, shall be in accordance
with the STEELFIX Australasian Technical Specification ver 8, STEELFIX Training Manual and the STEELFIX
Stainless Hot & Cold Pipe System Handbook 05/2016;
