New Zealand Building Code (NZBC)
The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:
- Clause D1 Access routes: Performance D1.3.1(e), D1.3.3(n)
D1.3.1(e) – Manoeuvre and park delivery vehicles required:
The Combilok G2 restraint system provides secure docking by locking the vehicle’s wheels in place, reducing the risk of unintended movement during loading and unloading. This enhances the safety and control of vehicle maneuvers within the dock area, ensuring vehicles can be parked and restrained in compliance with accessibility and maneuverability requirements.
D1.3.3(n) – Have any automatically controlled doors:
The Combilok G2 integrates seamlessly with automatic dock door systems, preventing the doors from opening until the vehicle is securely locked in place. This automated control minimizes risks associated with vehicle movement while doors are open, aligning with safety provisions for controlled access and secure operation of automated doors.
- Clause F4 Safety from falling: Performance F4.3.1
F4.3.1 – Where people could fall 1 meter or more from an elevated surface:
By securely restraining vehicles at the dock, the Combilok G2 reduces the risk of sudden vehicle movement, which could lead to falls from the dock edge. This system provides a stable and controlled environment during loading and unloading operations, thereby helping to mitigate fall hazards and ensuring compliance with safety provisions for elevated work areas.
