The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:
- Clause F4 Safety from falling: Performance F4.3.1, F4.3.4(a)
The design of Stertil Dock Shelters meets compliance for New Zealand Building Code Clause F4 (Safety from Falling) by following the F4/AS1 Acceptable Solution pathway. The installation of a shelter creates a barrier at exposed edges of loading docks, adhering to minimum height and load specifications as set out in F4/AS1. High-visibility markings enhance awareness of hazardous areas, further supporting safe navigation around the loading bay. Compliance with NZBC Clause H1 (Energy Efficiency) for buildings over 300 m² will follow the Verification Method H1/VM2. This pathway requires the designer to undertake energy modeling to confirm that the installation of Stertil Dock Shelters align with overall energy performance requirements, supporting the building’s compliance with the standards set in H1/VM2 for large industrial facilities.
