Scope of Use
IBuilt MultiStrut joists provide increased spanning capabilities over standard framing while also being lightweight and efficient to install. They are ideal for residential construction as both joists and rafters.
New Zealand Building Code (NZBC)
The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:
- Clause B1 Structure: Performance B1.3.1, B1.3.2, B1.3.3, B1.3.3(a), B1.3.3(b), B1.3.3(f), B1.3.3(j), B1.3.3(m), B1.3.3(q)
- Nelson Pine LVL is certified by Engineered Wood Products
Association of Australasia (EWPAA) to AS/NZS 4357.0:2005, cited by
NZS 3604:2011 [Nelson Pine, 07/2017].
- Paragraph 2.3.9.2 of NZS 3604:2011 requires LVL to be
manufactured in accordance with AS/NZS 4357.

- G250 Z275 galvanised steel in accordance with SNZ
TS 3404:2018, cited in B2/AS1.
- Treated to NZS 3640:2003 cited in B2/AS1.
- Nelson Pine LVL is certified by Bureau Veritas for LVL treatment.
- Clause F2 Hazardous building materials: Performance F2.3.1
- Formaldehyde emission class E0 in accordance with Table 1 of
AS/NZS 4357 [Nelson Pine, 07/2017].
- Materials as per safety data [Nelson Pine, 25/01/2017].
