Compliance Statement
Scope of Use
Protecta® Ex Mortar is designed for sealing service penetrations and openings in fire-rated walls and floors. Suitable for cables, cable trays, cable bundles, metal pipes, plastic pipes, composite pipes, alupex pipes, and mixed services, it can be installed in concrete, masonry, steel, and other common construction types to maintain fire, smoke, and acoustic performance. When mixed with water, Protecta® EX Mortar forms a fire-resistant, thermal insulating compound that expands slightly during curing to create a tight, durable seal. Once cured, it provides a strong, load-bearing finish that can be sanded or drilled. It offers excellent air permeability performance, requires no priming on most substrates, and is fully set within approximately one hour. All installations must comply with tested or assessed systems to AS1530.4:2014 and AS4072.1:2005. Refer to firestopcentre.co.nz for FC tech drawings, product information, and test reports.
