Scope of Use
- Is suitable for use as an interior floor, wall & ceiling covering
- Is suitable for high-traffic areas
- Is suitable for use with underfloor heating systems
- Is suitable for use in wet areas such as kitchens and laundries
- Is suitable for use in both residential and commercial applications
- Has a critical radiant flux of 4.2kW/m² making it suitable for use in all buildings and areas of those buildings areas with C 3.4 (b)obligations
- Is suitable for providing additional sound reduction for floors with adjoining tenancies
- Is not recommended for use in wet areas such as bathrooms.
- Is not suitable for exterior use
- Is expected to change colour with UV exposure, this is not considered a defect but a natural occurrence
- Must be installed in accordance with VidaSpace installation guidelines
- Must be acclimatised to reach equilibrium with the area that it is to be installed
- Must be cleaned and maintained in accordance with the VidaCare Guide
New Zealand Building Code (NZBC)
The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:
- Clause B2 Durability: Performance B2.3.1, B2.3.1(c)
Contribution to B2.3.1(c)(i) and (ii): PurePlank has a 20 year wear resistance warranty for residential use and a 5 year wear resistance warranty for commercial use. Refer to the warranty documentation for further information. VidaSpace also provides and recommends a cleaning system range called WoodClinic. - Clause C3 Fire affecting areas beyond the fire source: Performance C3.4, C3.4(b)
Contribution to C3.4(a) and (b): PurePlank has a Dfl-S1 reaction to fire rating and a CRF Rating of 4.2kW/m2 which allows PurePlank to be used in most flooring applications. PurePlank has a rating of Group 3 but can achieve a Group 1-S rating for use on walls and ceilings when an intumescent coating is applied such as Zone 92. - Clause D1 Access routes: Performance D1.3.3, D1.3.3(d)
Contribution to D1.3.3: PurePlank has a PTV/SRV rating of 57/28 and can be used in areas where a rating of 57/28 or less is required. When combined with an appropriate nosing, PurePlank can be used in commercial stair applications. Refer to the stair design guide for further information. - Clause E3 Internal moisture: Performance E3.3.3, E3.3.5, E3.3.6
Contribution to E3.3.3, E3.3.5, E3.3.6: PurePlank has a lacquer coating system that is impervious and easily cleaned. D4 PVA can be used in the joins 1.5m from sanitary fixtures and around the perimeter to show compliance to E3. Suitable for use in kitchens, laundries & powder rooms - refer to the E3 documentation (VidaSpace NZ Building Code Compliance Guide). - Clause F2 Hazardous building materials: Performance F2.3.1
Contribution to F2.3.1: PurePlank is safe when handled, has no added formaldehyde, and achieves an E1 Formaldehyde Emission rating. - Clause G6 Airborne and impact sound: Performance G6.3.1, G6.3.2
Contribution to G6.3.1, G6.3.2: PurePlank can be installed on acoustic underlay as a system suitable for multi-tenanted buildings. Refer to the build-up guide documents and Acoustic test documents. VidaSpace recommends our WoodClinic Recycled Rubber Acoustic Underlay which helps exceed STC55 and IIC55

Design requirements
PurePlank is an engineered timber flooring product that is suitable for residential and commercial applications. Manufactured using a 3-Plyconstruction, consisting of a European oak wear layer and a pine ply core/backing.
PurePlank is available in 12 colours and finished in matte lacquer. PurePlank is offered in a single size, measuring 14mm in thickness, 180mmin width, and 2200mm in length

Installation requirements
- We recommend PurePlank timber floors are installed by an experienced timber floor installer, with certifications such as ATFA
- All PurePlank timber floors must be installed in accordance with either:
a. Our Glue Down Installation Guide - Engineered Wood Flooring (Recommended)
b. Our Floating Installation Guide - Engineered Wood Flooring (5G profile only)
