They provide a durable, adjustable bridge between the loading dock and transport vehicles, accommodating a range of vehicle heights and supporting the weight of heavy-duty material handling equipment like forklifts. With built-in safety features, including slip-resistant surfaces, safety lips, and side guards, these levellers ensure secure and smooth transitions, reducing accident risks. They meet New Zealand Building Code requirements for Access Routes (Clause D1) and Safety from Falling (Clause F4) and are supported by preventative maintenance options for long-term performance and compliance.
New Zealand Building Code (NZBC)
The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:
- Clause D1 Access routes: Performance D1.3.1(c)
- Smooth transitions for forklifts and equipment between dock and vehicle.
- Slip-resistant surfaces reduce accident risks.
- Adjustable height matches vehicle levels, preventing sudden elevation changes.

Maintenance requirements
PENSA offers preventative maintenance agreements with every Stertil Dock Leveller sale to ensure long-term durability and compliance with Clause B2 of the New Zealand Building Code. These agreements cover regular inspections, including checks on structural components, hydraulics, electrical connections, and safety features to detect wear or damage. Routine cleaning removes debris and prevents operational issues, while specified lubrication of moving parts reduces friction and wear. Safety features, such as safety lips and emergency stops, are tested to verify function, and worn parts are replaced using genuine components. All maintenance activities are documented for compliance verification, providing peace of mind and reliable leveller performance over time.
