which is suitable for an area with common foot traffic.
product is Pacoflex, which is polymer modified mastic asphalt. It comprises of
limestone aggregates bound together by asphalt cement.
The system must be
laid on a concrete or plywood substrate. A separation
layer is required between the substrate and mastic asphalt topping, which is
formed in two layers or 10mm and 15mm. The addition of 10/15% aggregate in the second layer of the product increases the wearing surface of the membrane and therefore accept direct foot traffic. For a terrace or balcony, external pavers or tiles can also be used as an overlay topping.
