Perry Stainless Steel Grating
Product Technical Statement: 107983
walkway and accessway grating for severe corrosive environments
||Level of assurance needed to demonstrate NZ Building Code Compliance
Supporting documentation should include technical information by manufacturer and either an independent assessment or reference to an industry-based scheme
||Perry confirms that this minimum level of assurance has been met or exceeded by the following:
Perry Stainless Steel Grating is walkway and accessway grating ideally suited to applications where the potential for rust of corrosion is a major consideration.
Load bar options include but are not limited to 3mm, 5mm, or 7mm thickness. Grating depth starts at 20mm and sizes above this are specified depending on product application and loading.
Load bars and twist rod bars are a minimum of 6mm thickness, and are forge welded together creating a panel with complete integrity.
All panels once cut to size are banded at the open ends to provide additional transverse stiffness and a finished architectural appearance. Perry Stainless Steel Grating is fabricated from grade 304 or 316 stainless steel.
As produced, stainless steel products typically display discolouration caused by the introduction of heat during welding, cutting or grinding processes. If appearance is important to your application, consideration should be given to secondary cleaning or electro-polishing.
Mill Finish Products will display discolouration from welding, cutting and grinding. Satisfactory for industrial or process applications where appearance is not a consideration.
Commercial Clean A uniform, matt finish is achieved by abrasive blasting followed by passivation to remove manufacturing contaminants.
Electro-Polished A bright, chrome-like appearance achieved by immersion in chemicals that clean and “polish” the base metal.
Perry Grating can manage the entire project specification, from drawing and layout specification, through manufacturing and quality control to delivery and installation. Where required, a PS1 supporting specific design can be provided.
Load bar options include but are not limited to 3mm, 5mm, or
7mm thickness. Grating depth starts at 20mm and sizes above this are specified
depending on product application and loading.
