Exclusive to Décortech, Décortech Firesafe Décorply Plywood has been tested to ISO 5660 and achieved a Group 1S rating. Décortech Firesafe Décorply Plywood is a creamy white, clean faced, lightweight, dimensionally stable substrate with a high-quality edge detail for improved aesthetics. A white glue line gives a clean, light edge making it perfect for decorative applications. Décortech Firesafe Décorply Plywood is a pre-finished panel with a hard-wearing fire-resistant coating that retains the look and beauty of natural wood with the safety of fire retardancy. Our panels come prefinished preventing the need for additional onsite trades after installation reducing costs as well as potential onsite issues such as spills, over spray or damage. Pioneering the next level of finish in a fire-retardant panel, Décortech Firesafe Décorply is available in a range of custom finishes including Standard paint finishes are Clear, Pure White, Serenity, Muddy Waters, Tranquil Space, Clay Cliff, Sands, Nightlife, Blackwood, Nordic, Blonded, Nude, Ash, Ivory. Standard sheet size is 2400mm x 1200mm in 12, 15 and thickness.
Scope of use
Suitable applications include wall and ceiling linings, acoustic panels especially for schools, hospitals, commercial and public buildings, partition screens and display panels. It is ideal in the most critical applications such as entrance areas and exit corridors especially those used for emergency exits in case of fire.

Firesafe Décorply allows timber panels to be used in spaces that they previously
could not be due to fire requirements. It is perfect to use when the aesthetic
qualities of wood are desired with the safety of a fire-retardant solution.

Battens or studs at 600mm centres maximum, with fixing at 200mm centres maximum
around perimeter and 400mm centres maximum through centre area of the panel. We
recommend good quality builder’s adhesive combined with some form of positive
fixing i.e. screws or panel pins.

recommend cleaning the panels when required with a warm damp cloth. Do not use
any solvents or abrasive cleaners. Panels must be installed by qualified
tradesmen and handled with care. The product must be stored inside, off the
ground, in a dry, well-ventilated area away from extreme temperature
fluctuations. It is important to protect the panels during storage by covering
and protecting all parts that can be exposed to damage, light or moisture however,
panels must not be left wrapped in a non-breathable material (i.e. plastic) for
longer than 4 days. The panels must be stacked squarely on top of one another
with a full cover sheet on top to avoid edge discolouration. Panels should not
be exposed to natural light when being stored as wood is a natural material and
changes over time when exposed to UV-light. The Décortech factory applied clear
satin finish is also UV based and exposure to light will cause colour
Décorply Plywood is manufactured only from plantation grown sources and is a
renewable resource. Environmental certificates are available on request.
Formaldehyde Levels Décortech Firesafe Décorply Plywood formaldehyde levels
have been classified as E1 – Low formaldehyde emissions – between 0.00 and 0.03
ppm which gives an acceptable rating for green buildings.
